Carbon Engineering was a pioneering Canadian direct-air-capture company founded by physicist David Keith; it was fully acquired by Occidental Petroleum for about $1.1 billion in 2023 and folded into Oxy Low Carbon Ventures.

Heirloom uses enhanced mineralization to capture atmospheric CO₂ with limestone and delivers permanent carbon removal.
