Median round size marched from $31M in 2023 to $170M in 2025 and $200M in 2026. PsiQuantum's $1B Series E and Quantinuum's $600M Series B reset the private ceiling, and even a Series A — Nord Quantique's $30M at $1.4B — now carries unicorn pricing. Only strategic checks like Diraq's $14M government round land under $30M.
The exit lane is open: 2026 IPOs from Quantinuum ($1.4B at $14.3B), Infleqtion ($550M), and Xanadu ($302M) make this the sector's first real public-market year, joining IonQ and Rigetti. Behind them, Series Bs dominate private activity — seven of 19 rounds since 2025 — as the 2023–2024 Series A cohort graduates.
Asset managers and strategics displaced the specialists: BlackRock, Temasek, and Baillie Gifford led PsiQuantum's $1B; Quanta Computer and Nvidia's NVentures took Quantinuum; Intel Capital and In-Q-Tel doubled down on QuantWare. Quantonation, the only dedicated quantum fund among repeat leads with four, hasn't led since February 2024.
