Genspark builds a general-purpose autonomous AI agent (its 'Super Agent' and AI Workspace) that plans and executes multi-step tasks such as research, document creation, and workflow automation from natural-language prompts. The company was founded in 2023 by Eric Jing (CEO) and Kay Zhu (CTO), both former Baidu executives; Jing was earlier a founding member of Microsoft Bing and led Baidu's Xiaodu smart-assistant division, while Zhu worked on machine-learning ranking at Google. Genspark operates under parent entity MainFunc.
Genspark reached roughly $50M in annualized run rate within about five months of launch and raised a $275M Series B at a $1.25B valuation in November 2025, making it one of the faster-scaling consumer AI-agent products.
