H Company (originally 'H', formerly Holistic) is a Paris-based AI lab building agentic foundation models and autonomous agents that automate multi-step digital tasks. It was founded in 2024 by Charles Kantor with a team of former Google DeepMind scientists including Laurent Sifre, Karl Tuyls, Julien Perolat, and Daan Wierstra. In August 2024 three of the DeepMind co-founders (Tuyls, Perolat, Wierstra) departed over operational disagreements, and in June 2025 Gautier Cloix, formerly head of Palantir France, became CEO. Its first product, Runner H, launched in November 2024.
H raised a $220M seed round in 2024, one of the largest seed rounds in Europe, on a bet that agentic foundation models can become core AI infrastructure; the early exit of several DeepMind co-founders and a 2025 CEO change made it a closely watched test of European frontier-AI ambitions.
