Liquid AI

Liquid AI is an MIT CSAIL spinout building Liquid Foundation Models (LFMs), general-purpose AI models based on liquid neural networks rather than the transformer architecture. The approach uses dynamically adjustable parameters and is designed to be smaller and more compute-efficient than conventional models. The company was co-founded by Ramin Hasani (CEO), Mathias Lechner (CTO), Alexander Amini, and Daniela Rus, and is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Its December 2024 Series A was led by AMD Ventures, and as part of the deal Liquid AI works with AMD to optimize its models for AMD GPUs, CPUs, and AI accelerators.
