Manus

Manus was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Singapore. Co-Founder and CEO Xiao Hong leads the company. Its flagship product, Manus, is a general-purpose autonomous agent that takes a natural-language objective and independently carries out multi-step work, including browsing the web, writing and running code, analyzing data, and producing deliverables, operating asynchronously in the cloud. The product is offered as a subscription service. The company's origins trace to Monica, an AI assistant browser extension released in 2023 by parent company Butterfly Effect, which aggregates several commercial large language models behind one interface for translation, summarization, and writing assistance. Manus is a private company with total disclosed funding of $575 million. Its most recent round, a $500 million venture round announced on October 8, 2026, followed a period in which a planned Meta transaction was called off.
