Xiao Hong, known as 'Red' in China's tech circles, was born in 1992 and studied software engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He founded Butterfly Effect (Monica.im) in 2022, shortly before ChatGPT's public launch, and the company released the Monica AI assistant in 2023 before building the Manus autonomous agent.
