Moveworks

As an independent company, Moveworks sold annual enterprise subscriptions: large organizations paid recurring fees, typically scaled to the employee population covered, for an AI assistant that resolves IT and HR requests plus enterprise search across internal systems. The motion was classic top-down enterprise SaaS — long procurement cycles, security review, integrations into Slack, Microsoft Teams, and the ticketing and HR stack, then expansion from IT into additional departments. Customers paid for measurable ticket deflection and faster resolution, which made ROI quantifiable at renewal time. Since ServiceNow completed its roughly $2.85B acquisition in December 2025, Moveworks' capabilities are being folded into ServiceNow's platform licensing: the assistant and enterprise search become attach points and upsells inside ServiceNow's existing subscription agreements rather than a separately sold product line. The recurring-revenue character survives the acquisition; the standalone pricing autonomy does not.
