Reka

Reka is an AI research company building multimodal foundation models that process text, images, video, and audio for enterprise use. It was founded in 2022 by researchers from Google DeepMind, Google Brain, and Meta FAIR, including CEO Dani Yogatama and chief scientist Yi Tay, and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. In May 2024, Snowflake held talks to acquire Reka for more than $1 billion, but the discussions ended without a deal and both companies opted to remain independent; Snowflake later integrated Reka's models into its Cortex AI offering. In July 2025, Reka raised $110 million from investors including Nvidia and Snowflake, reaching a valuation of over $1 billion.
