Reka monetizes its multimodal models primarily through usage: developers and enterprises pay for API access to models like Reka Flash, priced on consumption, and for platform products — Reka Vision for video understanding and Reka Research for agentic multi-step question answering — sold to enterprises that need multimodal reasoning embedded in their workflows. For regulated or data-sensitive customers, deployment licensing brings the models into private environments. The Snowflake channel is the distribution multiplier: Reka models integrated into Snowflake's Cortex AI put usage-priced inference in front of the data-cloud customer base without Reka fielding a large direct sales force. The strategic investors double as commercial validation — Nvidia for the compute ecosystem and Snowflake for distribution, both in the $110M July 2025 round that valued Reka above $1B. The flip side is concentration: a meaningful share of Reka's path to market runs through a partner that once tried to buy the company and now benefits from its models either way.
