World Labs
World Labs is a frontier AI research and product company building 'spatial intelligence' systems and large world models that understand and generate the 3D physical world rather than relying only on 2D images or text. It was co-founded in 2024 by Fei-Fei Li (CEO), Justin Johnson, Ben Mildenhall, and Christoph Lassner, and is headquartered in San Francisco. The company emerged from stealth in September 2024 with $230 million in funding from backers including Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and Radical Ventures, at a valuation of over $1 billion. In February 2026 it raised an additional $1 billion from investors including AMD, Autodesk, Emerson Collective, Fidelity, NVIDIA, and Sea. Its first product, Marble, generates persistent, high-fidelity 3D worlds from a single image, video, or text prompt.
Founded by ImageNet creator Fei-Fei Li and NeRF co-creator Ben Mildenhall, World Labs has raised roughly $1.23B to pursue spatial intelligence, a frontier many see as central to robotics, simulation, and AGI.
