Einride

Robert Falck was director of manufacturing engineering assembly at Volvo GTO Powertrain when he decided the incumbents would never lead the transition away from diesel. Watching automated electric vehicles move material inside factories, he concluded the same combination — electric drive plus autonomy — could transform road freight, but that truck makers were too invested in combustion to pursue it. He left Volvo and founded Einride in Stockholm in July 2016 with Filip Lilja and Linnéa Kornehed. As CEO, Falck unveiled the T-pod — a cab-less, all-electric autonomous freight vehicle — at Almedalen Week in July 2017, put the first cab-less electric truck on a public road, and grew Einride into a freight-mobility company operating electric and autonomous fleets across Europe and North America, raising over $700 million in equity and debt. In May 2025 he stepped down as CEO, handing the role to CFO Roozbeh Charli, and became Executive Chairman, where he focuses on long-term strategy, technology innovation and preparing the company for a public listing.

Filip Lilja co-founded Einride in July 2016 with Robert Falck and Linnéa Kornehed, bringing engineering depth in robotics and automation to complement Falck's manufacturing background. The founding thesis was that combining self-driving technology with electric powertrains on public roads could make road freight both sustainable and safe — a bet the incumbent truck manufacturers, heavily invested in diesel, were structurally unable to make. At Einride, Lilja helped take the company from concept to the 2017 reveal of the T-pod, the cab-less autonomous electric freight vehicle that became the company's signature, and on to commercial electric and autonomous freight operations for major shippers across Europe and North America. He has remained with the company he co-founded, most recently serving as VP of Special Projects.

Before Einride, Linnéa Kornehed Falck worked as an entrepreneur coach at the Stockholm School of Economics, mentoring founders on building and growing businesses. In July 2016 she co-founded Einride with Robert Falck and Filip Lilja, bringing expertise in operations, design and brand to the mission of shifting road freight to electric and autonomous technology. As Einride's founding CMO she built the brand around the striking cab-less T-pod, helping a Swedish startup command global attention in an industry dominated by hundred-year-old truck makers, and was later named Deputy CEO. In August 2023 she handed the CMO role to Corinne Aaron to focus on her responsibilities as Deputy CEO and executive board member, and she continues to serve on Einride's board as the company scales electric and autonomous freight across Europe and North America.
