Vicon sells Valkyrie, Vero and Vanguard cameras, Shōgun software for film, games and virtual production, Nexus software for life sciences, and Blue Trident inertial sensors to studios, universities, clinics and engineering teams. It launched markerless capture in March 2025 with the Vanguard camera and Shōgun Markerless software. In September 2026 Vicon acquired facial-capture company Captive Devices, and on October 9, 2026 Oxford Metrics bought the assets of Move AI, including its patents, staff and customers, for £525,000 in cash. The same day Oxford Metrics guided to revenue of £47 million to £51 million for the 15 months to December 31, 2026, citing weaker film, TV and games investment and tighter research budgets, while robotics orders grew.
Vicon's cameras and software run in studios and labs, with customers including Industrial Light & Magic, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Ubisoft, Sony and Warner Bros. Its purchases of Captive Devices in September 2026 and Move AI's assets on October 9, 2026 add facial capture and phone-video body capture to its optical systems. Robotics companies use Vicon systems to record human motion for training humanoid robots and to measure robots and drones in testing.
