Tomás Vega
Human-computer interaction engineer and MIT Media Lab alum (SM '19) who co-founded Augmental to widen the bandwidth between people and machines through seamless, hands-free interfaces. He met co-founder Corten Singer at UC Berkeley in 2012, and formally launched Augmental upon graduating from MIT at the end of 2019, drawing on the MIT Venture Mentoring Service, the MIT I-Corps program, and early backing from MIT's E14 Fund. He leads development of the MouthPad^, a tongue- and head-gesture-driven intraoral trackpad that gives people with paralysis hands-free control of their devices, and was recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. At Augmental he serves as Co-Founder and CEO (and CTO), driving both the company and its core technology.
