Paul Le Floch
Materials scientist with a Ph.D. from Harvard University where he was Jia Liu's first graduate student. His dissertation research produced the soft-electronic breakthroughs — materials with mechanical properties matching brain tissue — that became Axoft's core technology. He describes his work as "making electronics as soft as the brain." His Ph.D. research demonstrated scalable neural interfaces that integrate many sensors into one implant without the stiffness-mismatch scarring seen in silicon devices. He co-founded Axoft in 2021 and received backing from The Engine, MIT's deep-tech venture fund.
