Emil Hewage
Computational neuroscientist who began his career in deep-tech startups at 17. He conducted applied ML research at Siemens and McLaren F1 before pursuing a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience and machine learning at the University of Cambridge. He was an early team member at CMR Fuel Cells (acquired by Samsung) and Sphere Medical (listed company) before co-founding BIOS in 2015 with Oliver Armitage. Recognised as an Engineering Leader by the Royal Academy of Engineering and named in Forbes 30 Under 30, he leads the company's mission to decode peripheral nerve signals for neural-digital therapies.
