Bryan Johnson
Serial entrepreneur and venture investor from Provo, Utah. He holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He founded Braintree in 2007, which acquired Venmo in 2012 and was itself acquired by PayPal for $800 million in 2013, netting Johnson over $300 million. In 2014 he deployed $100 million of personal capital into the OS Fund, backing breakthroughs in genomics, nanotechnology, and synthetic biology. He founded Kernel in 2016 with another $100 million personal investment to build non-invasive brain measurement hardware (flux and flow helmets using MEG and TD-fNIRS).
