Nudge Zero is the company's human-ready research system: a high-channel-count focused-ultrasound phased array built into a helmet worn inside an MRI scanner. The array steers its focus electronically to nearly any region of the brain with millimeter accuracy, and an MRI method called ARFI shows where the focus lands. Nudge unveiled it in April 2025 and uses it in research studies with human participants.
Nudge is developing a portable focused-ultrasound device it aims to make as easy to use as headphones, with miniaturized electronics, its own transducers, built-in imaging and personalized stimulation. Its longer-term targets include mood, focus, memory, sleep and learning.
Nudge runs feasibility studies testing whether focused ultrasound delivered to deep brain regions is safe and effective, starting with chronic pain and substance use disorder. A participant registry recruits patients and healthy volunteers for its future clinical trials.
