Headquartered in London and led by chair and CEO Aniruddha Sharma, Carbon Clean builds modular carbon-capture systems for hard-to-abate industries such as cement, steel, and refining. Its flagship CycloneCC is a fully columnless, skid-mounted design the company says has roughly a 10x smaller footprint than conventional capture plants and can be deployed in under eight weeks. In 2022 Carbon Clean raised a then-record $150 million Series C led by Chevron, with investors including CEMEX Ventures, Marubeni, Samsung Ventures, and Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures.
Its compact modular design targets the cost and footprint barriers that have kept point-source capture out of most heavy-industry sites.
