Terradot is a Carbon Removal (CDR) company founded in 2022 and based in San Francisco, United States. It has raised $58M in total funding, most recently a Series A in 2024.

Terradot secures $34M in debt financing from HASI for its enhanced rock weathering projects.
Terradot spreads crushed basalt from southern Brazilian quarries on nearby farmland, where it reacts with rainwater to turn atmospheric CO2 into bicarbonate that is stored permanently in the ocean. It quantifies removal through soil sampling before and after application and is developing water-chemistry monitoring at watershed outlets. The resulting credits are sold to buyers such as Frontier, Google, Microsoft and J.P. Morgan.
Announced with Google in September 2026, this southern Brazil project combines rock weathering with methane avoidance on flooded rice paddies. It targets 1 million tonnes of carbon removal by 2040 and 1 million tonnes of methane impact by 2030 across more than 200,000 hectares of rice farmland.
Terradot's software platform identifies sites, optimizes rock deployment and verifies results for each tonne removed. It is backed by field monitoring such as a Sentinel Site in Brazil, run with Microsoft, and a science team of more than 20 PhDs.
