Founded in 2022 and based in London, UNDO Carbon develops enhanced rock weathering projects, spreading crushed silicate rock such as basalt and wollastonite across agricultural land where soil microbes and plants accelerate the natural weathering that removes CO2 while enriching soils with nutrients. UNDO became Microsoft's first enhanced rock weathering supplier, with agreements beginning in 2023 and expanding to deliver tens of thousands of tonnes of removal over the following years. In April 2025, UNDO was awarded $5 million as a runner-up in the $100 million XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition for a verified project in Ontario, Canada.
Became Microsoft's first enhanced rock weathering supplier, helping validate the pathway for hyperscaler-scale carbon procurement.
