The dual-revenue thesis assumes waste generators keep paying tipping fees for a novel disposal route rather than sticking with cheaper incumbent options like land application or landfill, which regulation could either help or hurt. And the pathway is crowded — XPRIZE runner-up alongside a $50M grand-prize winner in a field racing for the same hyperscaler dollars. If permitting stays slow or the carbon accounting draws scrutiny, Vaulted's clever waste-and-carbon flywheel spins more slowly than the market it's chasing.
