Armada is a full-stack edge infrastructure and AI company that builds ruggedized, modular, and containerized data centers paired with software for deploying compute, AI, and connectivity to remote and austere locations. Founded in 2022 by CEO Dan Wright (formerly CEO of DataRobot) with co-founder Jon Runyan and founding CTO Pradeep Nair, the company manufactures modular units such as Galleon, Leviathan, and Triton, integrating satellite connectivity to bring cloud-grade infrastructure where traditional data centers cannot reach. In May 2026 Armada raised an oversubscribed $230M Series B at a $2B pre-money valuation, co-led by Overmatch, BlackRock, and 8090 Industries, bringing total funding to nearly $500M, and announced a manufacturing agreement with Johnson Controls.
Armada packages data-center-grade compute into deployable modules for the edge, positioning it to supply AI infrastructure to remote industrial, defense, and connectivity-constrained sites as demand for distributed compute surges.
