Equinix Fabric provides software-defined interconnection on demand, Network Edge hosts virtual network functions from multiple vendors, and xScale data centers serve hyperscale companies through joint ventures. Colocation is billed on space and power under fixed-term contracts and interconnection on outbound connections, both as monthly recurring revenue. Equinix trades on Nasdaq as EQIX, operates as a real estate investment trust and had 13,716 employees at the end of 2025. Second-quarter 2026 revenue rose 16% to $2.625 billion, and on July 29, 2026 it raised its 2026 revenue guidance to $10.205 billion to $10.285 billion.
Equinix's more than 280 data centers in 77 metros host 230 cloud on-ramps and over 10,500 interconnected businesses, so hyperscalers, AI clouds and enterprises connect inside the same buildings. On Sept. 2, 2026 it announced Equinix Inference Exchange with Nvidia and Together AI, a distributed inference program linked through Equinix Fabric and due in Q1 2027. It added 9,700 net interconnections in the second quarter of 2026, and its xScale joint ventures build capacity for hyperscale tenants.
