Arkady Volozh
Arkady Volozh was born in present-day Kazakhstan and studied applied mathematics at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Moscow, graduating in 1986. He co-founded several IT enterprises, including CompTek and InfiNet, and in 1997 co-founded the search company Yandex with Ilya Segalovich, building it into one of the world's largest internet groups and serving as its longtime CEO. After the 2024 restructuring that separated the company's international assets from its Russian operations, he founded and leads Nebius, an Amsterdam-headquartered, Nasdaq-listed full-stack AI cloud built on GPU data centers and managed AI services.
