Nebius (NASDAQ: NBIS) is a publicly traded AI / GPU Cloud company founded in 2024 and based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Nebius is a full-stack AI cloud company that emerged in 2024 from the restructuring of Yandex, the former Russian internet group, and is headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on Nasdaq under ticker NBIS. Founded and led by Arkady Volozh, who previously built Yandex, the company operates GPU data centers and managed AI services across the US, Europe, the UK, and the Middle East. In September 2025 Nebius signed a five-year contract with Microsoft worth up to $19.4 billion to deliver dedicated capacity from a new data center in Vineland, New Jersey, and in March 2026 expanded a deal with Meta to as much as $27 billion. In June 2026 Nebius was added to the Nasdaq-100 index.
It re-emerged from Yandex with capital and infrastructure engineering depth to become one of the largest independent AI clouds, winning hyperscaler-scale contracts with Microsoft and Meta.
