Mathias Biilmann Christensen
Mathias Biilmann Christensen is a Danish entrepreneur who holds a bachelor's in musicology from the University of Copenhagen and built his career in software, with roles including CTO at Domestika and founder of the content-management startup Webpop. Before Netlify he launched BitBalloon, a drag-and-drop hosting service for static sites, which informed his thinking about modern Git-based web workflows. He co-founded Netlify in 2014 and serves as CEO, and in 2016 coined the term 'Jamstack' to describe the static-first, API-driven web architecture the company helped popularize.
