Nscale is Europe's answer to CoreWeave, built with better vertical integration and a faster anchor. Spun out of Arkon Energy's renewably powered data-center business in 2023, it owns the stack from power to GPUs — the discipline that matters most when electricity, not silicon, is the binding constraint. Its October 2025 Microsoft contract for approximately 200,000 NVIDIA GB300 GPUs (~$14B) across Europe and the US kept expanding through 2026: ~12,600 GB300s delivered at Start Campus in Portugal from Q1 2026 with 66,000+ Rubin GPUs to follow, ~104,000 GB300s at a ~240MW Texas campus serving Microsoft from Q3 2026, 30,000 Rubin GPUs contracted for Narvik, Norway, and a 1.35GW Vera Rubin "AI factory" campus in West Virginia announced with NVIDIA and Caterpillar. Capital has kept pace: roughly $3.3B raised, including a $2B Series C in March 2026 — the largest in European history — at a $14.6B valuation led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries with NVIDIA, Dell, Citadel, Jane Street, Lenovo, Nokia, and Point72 participating. Sheryl Sandberg, Nick Clegg, and Susan Decker joined the board — unmistakable IPO grooming for a listing that could come as early as 2026. As Europe's sovereign-scale training cloud with Nordic renewable power, Nscale has the scarcest asset in AI: energized capacity the hyperscalers need now.

Nscale is a three-year-old company valued at $14.6B on the promise of delivering gigawatt-scale infrastructure it has mostly not yet built. The delivery schedule is a thicket of forward commitments — Texas from Q3 2026, Portugal's Rubin expansion in late 2027, Norway's in 2027, West Virginia beyond — each dependent on data-center construction, grid interconnection, and NVIDIA supply allocations all hitting schedule simultaneously; slippage anywhere cascades into contract penalties and financing stress. The revenue base is effectively one customer: Microsoft anchors nearly everything, and CoreWeave's experience shows anchor tenants renegotiate or let options lapse the moment their own capacity lands or leverage shifts. The capital math is unforgiving — $3.3B of equity against a buildout that will require tens of billions of project debt, raised into a market growing skeptical of neocloud paper; the Series C's headline itself included a $433M pre-Series C SAFE, and the valuation implies flawless execution before material revenue history exists. By 2027–28, merchant GPU capacity from CoreWeave, Nebius, Lambda, Crusoe, and the hyperscalers' own buildouts could clear at prices that turn today's contracted rates into stranded-asset economics. Sandberg and Clegg on the board polish the IPO story, but celebrity governance is what late-cycle infrastructure manias hire; if the window shuts, Nscale is levered, illiquid, and single-tenant.
