Guillermo Rauch
Guillermo Rauch founded Vercel (originally ZEIT) in 2015 and serves as CEO. At 18 he created Socket.IO, the popular JavaScript library for real-time web applications, and in 2013 founded the cloud file-sharing startup Cloudup, which was acquired by Automattic the same year — where he then worked before starting his own company. He created Next.js, the open-source React framework first released in 2016, and built the company around it, rebranding ZEIT to Vercel in April 2020 alongside a $21M Series A. Under Rauch, Vercel grew into a leading frontend cloud and deployment platform.
