Assaf Ayalon
Co-founder of Artlist (launched 2016) with backgrounds in music production and filmmaking. Before co-founding Artlist, Ayalon was a music producer with unreleased catalog; when filmmaker co-founder Ira Belsky faced YouTube copyright strikes, Ayalon suggested starting a sync library with a subscription model. For nearly 25 years has been a driving force behind some of Israel's top artists, including discovering Alma Zohar whose debut album achieved double-gold status. The initial Artlist catalog was launched with about 700 songs recorded by Ayalon, co-founder Eyal Raz, and friends. Currently serves as Chief Innovation Officer. Artlist turned profitable within its first year without external VC before scaling to over 30 million creators and integrating AI video tools.
