Gideon Keyson
A Dutch-born entrepreneur who moved to Israel after high school, served in the Israeli Navy, and later studied biomedical engineering at Ben-Gurion University. He developed his coding skills through the Israel Tech Challenge (ITC), where he also worked as a teaching assistant. Alongside his brother Nadav Keyson, he founded Riverside in 2019 after becoming frustrated with the poor audio and video quality of existing remote recording tools like Skype and Zoom. Their core technical insight—recording high-bitrate audio and video locally on each participant's device while syncing to the cloud—solved a long-standing quality-versus-reliability tradeoff in remote production. The company has since raised tens of millions in venture funding and counts Disney, Spotify, Verizon, and Hillary Clinton among its early users.
