Suno

Completed a PhD in Quantum Physics at Harvard University from 2010 to 2016 and holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Physics from ETH Zürich. Previously worked at Kensho Technologies as Head of AI Research before co-founding Suno with three former Kensho colleagues in 2021. Has served as a Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management since September 2020. Known for applying physics-grade rigor to practical ML engineering, prioritizing maintainability and real-world performance trade-offs.

Holds a B.A. in International Affairs with concentrations in Economics and Russian from George Washington University. Prior to Kensho, worked as a consultant at Capco helping clients design trading systems. Previously worked at Kensho Technologies as Head of Strategic Initiatives, where all four co-founders met during their days at Kensho, the financial artificial intelligence company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The four realized they had something in common: a shared passion for making music, which ultimately inspired them to chase Suno's mission together. At Kensho, focused on developing foundational AI-enabled capabilities geared toward structuring unstructured data like audio, video, images, and text—experience directly applicable to generative music. Freyberg has described Suno's music generator as similar to a mixtape, a curated collection of songs that can reflect the compiler's feelings and intentions.

Harvard graduate (AB in Computer Science and Mathematics, 2010–2014) who built infrastructure at scale before turning to music. Served as employee #1 and Chief Architect at Kensho, growing engineering from 2 to 100 before the S&P Global acquisition, then directed engineering at Firefly Health. A lifelong musician who plays piano, Camacho's distinctive strength is translating finance- and intelligence-grade rigor into consumer-facing creative ML experiences—visible in Suno's production-ready audio quality. Internally, he emphasizes adaptability, shipping velocity, and cross-functional building, believing "we are all builders and we all do everything we can to win".

Studied applied physics at Columbia University and earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard. Previously served as the first machine learning engineer and head of machine learning at Kensho Technologies, which was acquired by S&P Global for over $500 million. Also lectured at MIT Sloan School of Management since 2018. Co-founded Suno in March 2022 alongside three co-founders—all of whom previously worked together at Kensho and happened to be musicians and audiophiles. Emphasizes the unique gap for average people between their taste in music and their abilities in music, arguing music is fundamentally different from visual media in this regard.
