• NBA Top Shot

  NBA Top Shot is a licensed digital-collectibles platform, built on Flow, where fans buy, sell and trade officially licensed NBA video highlights packaged as NFTs called Moments. Launched in 2020 in partnership with the NBA and the players association, it became one of the first NFT products to reach a mainstream consumer audience, generating hundreds of millions in sales. Top Shot abstracts away crypto complexity with fiat checkout and custodial wallets, making digital ownership accessible to sports fans.

• Flow

  Flow is an open-source, proof-of-stake Layer-1 blockchain developed by Dapper Labs and launched in 2020, designed specifically for NFTs, games and consumer applications that need to scale without high gas fees. Its multi-role architecture separates consensus and execution to achieve throughput for mainstream demand, and it uses the resource-oriented Cadence smart-contract language. Flow underpins NBA Top Shot and other consumer apps and is governed as an open ecosystem with its own FLOW token.

• CryptoKitties

  CryptoKitties is a blockchain game, launched in 2017, in which players collect, breed and trade unique digital cats represented as NFTs. As the first consumer NFT use case to break through, it famously congested the Ethereum network at peak popularity, demonstrating both the demand for digital collectibles and the scaling limits that motivated Dapper Labs to build the Flow blockchain. It remains a landmark project in NFT history.
