Holds an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon and a degree from Technion. He held product management and engineering roles at IBM Research and Microsoft before joining MapR as VP of Product, where he helped grow the company from five employees to over 300 and 1,000 enterprise customers. He co-founded Dremio in 2015, serving as CEO for its first 4.5 years before transitioning to CPO. Dremio co-created Apache Arrow, the industry-standard in-memory columnar format, and Apache Iceberg, central pillars of the open data lakehouse architecture.
