Pinecone

B.Sc. in Physics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Yale. He served as Senior Research Director at Yahoo Research and Head of Yahoo's New York Research Lab, then was Director of Research at AWS and Head of Amazon AI Labs until April 2019, where he built machine learning algorithms and services across advertising, recommendation, and security. He founded Pinecone in 2019 to bring production-grade vector search to AI applications. In September 2025 he transitioned to Chief Scientist as Ash Ashutosh was appointed CEO.
