He held significant engineering roles at Yahoo and LinkedIn, where he co-created Apache Pinot — the real-time OLAP datastore powering LinkedIn's 'Who Viewed Your Profile' feature at over 250,000 queries per second. He also authored Apache Helix (cluster management framework), Espresso (distributed document store), and ThirdEye (anomaly detection platform) at LinkedIn. He co-founded StarTree in 2020 with Xiang Fu to commercialize Apache Pinot for enterprise real-time analytics.
