Tim Latimer
Tim Latimer worked as a drilling and completion engineer at BHP Billiton and as a consultant at Biota Technology and The Boston Consulting Group before leaving the Texas oil patch in 2015 to pursue an MBA at Stanford. There he met Jack Norbeck and became convinced that horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing techniques from shale could unlock enhanced geothermal systems at commercial scale. Latimer co-founded Fervo Energy in 2017 and serves as CEO, leading the company to its first commercial geothermal project for Google in Nevada and subsequent utility-scale agreements with major power purchasers.
