HiTHIUM (Xiamen Hithium Energy Storage Technology) was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Xiamen, China. It makes storage cells, modules and containerized battery systems for utility, commercial and industrial, residential and off-grid use, with a focus on four- to eight-hour long-duration storage. Its ∞Power 6.25 MWh container runs on a 1175 Ah cell, its 8-hour 6.9 MWh system uses 1300 Ah cells, and in September 2026 it launched an integrated sodium-ion storage system. Manufacturing bases include a plant in Tongliang, Chongqing, sized for 56 GWh of lithium batteries, a long-duration storage industrial park in Heze, Shandong, and a 10 GWh module and system assembly plant in Mesquite, Texas, which began shipping in August 2025. In April 2026 it signed an investment commitment with the government of Navarre for a battery plant in Spain. Its products are deployed in more than 40 countries and regions, and cumulative shipments passed 200 GWh on October 15, 2026.
HiTHIUM supplies the cells and containers that grid batteries are built from, and its cumulative shipments rose from more than 100 GWh in August 2025 to 200 GWh in October 2026. Its Mesquite, Texas plant began shipping modules and systems in August 2025, giving it local assembly for US projects. In August 2026 it agreed to supply a 421 MWh battery for GPG's Fraser Coast project in Australia, and in October 2026 it entered Canada with 8-hour and cold-climate sodium-ion systems.
