Jacob DeWitte
Jacob DeWitte earned a B.S. in nuclear engineering from the University of Florida and both an S.M. and Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from MIT. Before co-founding Oklo in 2013, he worked at GE, Sandia National Labs, Urenco US, and naval reactor research laboratories, and led core design on the PRISM sodium fast reactor at GE. His expertise spans sodium fast reactors, molten salt reactors, and next-generation pressurized-water reactors. DeWitte co-founded Oklo with his MIT classmate and spouse Caroline DeWitte, and serves as CEO, leading the company through NRC licensing for its Aurora compact fast reactor.
