Guy Sella
Guy Sella held a B.S. in engineering from the Technion, Israel's Institute of Technology. He served as head of Israel's Electronics Research Department, a national lab for complex systems development, and as director of technology for the Israeli National Security Council. He was also a partner at Star Ventures, leading investments in AeroScout (acquired by Stanley Black & Decker) and Vidyo. Sella co-founded SolarEdge in 2006 and served as Chairman and CEO until his death in August 2019. Under his leadership, SolarEdge developed its DC-optimized inverter and power optimizer system that changed how PV installations harvest and manage power, and grew into a publicly traded company with operations across five continents.
