Brian Thompson
Brian Thompson began his career as a CPA with six years at KPMG and Arthur Andersen, focusing on high-tech and manufacturing audits, before spending 15 years implementing e-commerce and predictive analytics systems for clients including Charles Schwab, Gap, Lexis-Nexis, and The Body Shop. He founded Stem in 2009 in Millbrae, California, creating the first AI-powered commercial energy storage system that automates demand-charge reduction and grid services. Thompson led Stem to its NYSE listing as CEO before departing. He later co-founded CRE Simple, a fintech company managing over $16 billion in commercial real estate transactions.
