Jason Huang
Jason Huang has spent his career in composite materials and advanced conductors, holding a PhD in materials science and engineering and an MBA from Ohio State University and an MS in materials science from UCLA. He worked in composites engineering and manufacturing at Owens Corning, Goodrich, BAE Composite Structures, and Solvay, collaborated with the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and served as CEO of Irvine-based CTC Global, maker of the ACCC carbon-composite conductor — making him a leader in advanced conductor technology since 2010. In 2018 he founded TS Conductor, a public benefit corporation, around a patented design that fully encapsulates a carbon-fiber core in aluminum so the conductor installs with standard ACSR crews and tools while carrying two to three times the current with minimal sag. As CEO, Huang has taken AECC from a Southern California production line to adoption by utilities including the Tennessee Valley Authority, Florida Power & Light, and Salt River Project, raised $85 million from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Wellington Management, and utility-affiliated investors, and opened a DOE-supported second factory in Hardeeville, South Carolina in May 2026.
