TS Conductor makes aluminum-encapsulated carbon-core (AECC) conductors that let utilities double or triple transmission capacity by reconductoring existing lines with standard crews, tools, and towers. Versus 1908-vintage steel-core ACSR — still roughly 95% of utility cables worldwide — AECC carries 2-3x the current with minimal thermal sag and up to 50% lower line losses. Adopted by TVA, Florida Power & Light, Salt River Project, Arizona Public Service, and Basin Electric; $85M raised from Wellington Management, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Gates Frontier, National Grid Partners, Edison International, Quanta Services, and a NextEra Energy Resources subsidiary. Opened phase one of a $134M, DOE-supported plant in Hardeeville, South Carolina in May 2026, lifting output up to 10x its 5,000-mile-per-year Huntington Beach facility.
Reconductoring is the fastest path to new US transmission capacity, and TS Conductor is the Gates- and utility-backed domestic manufacturer scaling the advanced conductors it requires 10-20x.
