Abstract Described herein are systems and methods to facilitate storing and/or retrieval of healthcare information. Healthcare information may include transactional information. The transactional information may be in the form of messages communicated between healthcare entities and vendor entities. The messages may define events. An event may involve a subject and one or more assets. The status of one or more of the events, the subjects, and/or the assets may be extracted from the messages and stored in a database. The healthcare entities and/or vendor entities may query the database to retrieve the status one or more of the events, the subjects, and/or the assets.

Abstract Systems and methods to organize the flow and processing of queued messages may: receive messages in a set of processing queues; select a first and second processing queue; select a first and second message in the first and second processing queue; process the concurrent portions of the first and second message simultaneously; select a third processing queue and determine a subset of messages that are its oldest messages; assign a first sequential numbering to the messages in the subset; assign a second sequential numbering to those messages in the subset having a concurrent portion that has been previously processed and a sequential portion that has not been previously processed; determine whether the oldest message in the subset was assigned the same number in the first sequential numbering and the second sequential numbering, and, if so, process the sequential portion of the oldest message.

Abstract An inbound message including medical record content may be received. The inbound message may indicate a healthcare entity and a vendor entity. It may be determined, from the healthcare entity and stored correspondences between medical record formats and healthcare entities, that the medical record content of the inbound message is in a first medical record format. Which configuration record of stored configuration records specifying combinations of sets of rules may be determined to apply as a translation to the inbound message based upon the medical record content of the inbound message and the first medical record format. The sets of rules as indicated by the configuration record may be accessed and applied to the inbound message to translate the medical record content in the inbound message from the first medical record format to the standardized format. The standardized format may be transmitted to the vendor entity.
