Cherry Ventures was founded in Berlin in 2012 by Filip Dames and Christian Meermann, both early Zalando operators. The firm usually acts as a founder's first institutional investor and has seeded over 90 European companies, including FlixBus, Auto1, Flink and Forto. It invests from Berlin, London and Stockholm, and raised a €300 million seed fund in 2022.
