Kai-Fu Lee's AI-first venture firm — from the Innovation Works incubator to backing and building China's frontier AI companies.

Founded in September 2009 by former Google China president Kai-Fu Lee as Innovation Works, the firm rebranded to Sinovation Ventures in 2016 and manages roughly US$3 billion in dual-currency funds. It runs an in-house AI Institute and concentrates on artificial intelligence, robotics and deep tech, incubating companies as well as investing. Lee also founded portfolio company 01.AI, one of China's most prominent large-model startups.
