Southern Cryonics

Southern Cryonics is a not-for-profit cryonics organization founded by Peter Tsolakides and registered in 2012 (originally as Stasis Systems Australia), operating the first human-cryopreservation facility in the southern hemisphere. Its purpose-built storage facility at Holbrook, New South Wales, between Sydney and Melbourne, became operational in early 2024; the Stage 1 warehouse is designed to hold roughly 40 patients. In May 2024 Southern Cryonics cryopreserved its first patient and has cryopreserved several more since. The organization provides low-temperature preservation of the body after legal death in liquid nitrogen, on the premise that future medical technology might one day enable revival, and reinvests any surplus into operations.
