Emerson

Emerson was founded in 1890 in St. Louis, Missouri, where it is headquartered, and trades on the New York Stock Exchange as EMR. It reports three segments. Intelligent Devices sells Fisher control valves and actuators and Rosemount and Micro Motion measurement instruments. Software & Systems covers DeltaV and Ovation control systems, AspenTech asset-optimization software and NI test and measurement systems. Safety & Productivity sells RIDGID and Greenlee professional tools. Emerson completed its purchase of National Instruments on Oct. 11, 2023, at an equity value of $8.2 billion, and on March 12, 2025 it bought the AspenTech shares it did not already own for about $7.2 billion, making AspenTech a wholly owned subsidiary. It earns revenue from devices, control systems and test hardware, and from software licenses and contract renewals. Net sales for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2025 were $18.0 billion, with about 71,000 employees. For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, net sales rose 7% to $4.87 billion, and Emerson raised its fiscal 2026 outlook to about 5% sales growth.
