Formlabs

Earned a B.S. in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University, where he contributed to the Fab@Home open-source 3D printing project, then an M.S. in Media Arts and Sciences from the MIT Media Lab. He co-founded Formlabs in 2011 after meeting his co-founders in MIT's 'How to Make Almost Anything' course. The company's initial Form 1 printer was launched via Kickstarter and became one of the platform's most-funded hardware campaigns. Under Lobovsky's leadership as CEO Formlabs has grown into a 3D printing company valued at $2 billion.

Born in Israel and raised partly in a woodworking environment, he served in Israeli Air Force Intelligence before studying tech entrepreneurship at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) north of Tel Aviv and then embedded engineering at Sun Microsystems. He co-founded and led Samsung Electronics' R&D Center in Israel before earning a Ph.D. from MIT Media Lab's Fluid Interfaces Group. He co-founded Formlabs in 2011 and simultaneously serves as CEO of Tulip Interfaces, the factory-floor software company he co-founded in 2014.

Graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Engineering and a concentration in Film and Digital Media, then earned an M.S. from the MIT Media Lab in 2011. He co-founded Formlabs with Lobovsky and Linder after meeting in MIT's 'How to Make (almost) Anything' course, contributing to early prototyping, product design, brand development, and seed fundraising before departing in December 2012. He subsequently worked as an independent consultant on projects for Google and creative ventures including the 2016 Paralympics opening ceremony.
