Jake Loosararian
Studied electrical engineering at Grove City College in Pennsylvania, where a 2012 senior project building a magnetic-wheeled robot to climb and take ultrasonic readings inside the boilers of the nearby Scrubgrass Generating Plant became the genesis of Gecko Robotics. He cofounded the company in 2013 immediately after graduating and bootstrapped it before going through Y Combinator, later bringing on Troy Demmer as cofounder in 2016. As CEO he has grown Gecko into a unicorn-status industrial AI and robotics company that inspects and maintains critical infrastructure across energy, manufacturing, and U.S. defense programs, raising a $125M Series D in 2025 at a $1.25B valuation.
