Materialise

Holds an M.S. in Electro-Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from KU Leuven. He was introduced to 3D printing while working as a research engineer and consultant at Belgium's Research Institute of the Metalworking Industry. Convinced the technology could improve lives, he founded Materialise in Leuven in 1990, building it into one of the world's largest additive manufacturing software and service providers. He served as CEO for 34 years before becoming Chairman in January 2024, holds multiple patents in medical 3D printing, and was inducted into the TCT Hall of Fame in 2017.
