Novoloop attacks the single worst plastic-waste stream — post-consumer polyethylene bags and films, the material almost nobody can recycle — and turns it into branded, high-performance thermoplastic polyurethane already shipping in consumer products. Its Lifecycled TPU debuted in On's Cloudprime running shoe in 2022, proving the material meets real performance specs, not just sustainability marketing, and the company was named to TIME's World's Top Greentech list in 2025. The commercial momentum is tangible: a $21M Series B led by Taranis in June 2025 lifted total funding past $50M and funds design and construction of Novoloop's first commercial-scale plant, while a five-year contract-manufacturing agreement with Shanghai Huide (announced October 2025) gives it a path to scale Lifecycled TPU production without building all the capex itself. The demonstration plant in India already runs continuously at up to 70 tonnes per year, de-risking the process. The demand pull is structural — brands facing regulatory and consumer pressure on virgin fossil plastics want drop-in circular materials that don't sacrifice mechanical properties, and Novoloop's lower-carbon TPU slots directly into footwear, apparel and industrial goods. Founder-led by Miranda Wang and Jeanny Yao, Novoloop pairs a defensible chemical-upcycling process with proven brand traction in a market measured in millions of tonnes.
