Navier is an Electric Marine company founded in 2019 and based in Alameda, United States. It has raised $7.2M in total funding, most recently a Seed in 2022.
Navier develops electric hydrofoiling boats that fly above the water on computer-controlled foils, cutting drag and energy use to extend the range of battery-electric marine craft. The company was founded in 2019 by MIT-trained engineer Sampriti Bhattacharyya and is based in Alameda, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Its flagship N30 is a roughly 30-foot, eight-passenger electric foiling boat that pairs twin electric motors with active flight-control software; Navier delivered its first N30 to a customer in late 2024 and has touted it as among the longest-range electric boats on the market. Early backers have included Sergey Brin and Android co-founder Rich Miner.
Navier is pioneering U.S.-built electric hydrofoil boats, using flight-control software to make long-range, low-wake electric marine travel viable.
