Wisk Aero is an eVTOL & Advanced Air Mobility company founded in 2019 and based in Mountain View, United States.
Wisk Aero develops fully autonomous, self-flying electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for passenger air-taxi service. Its lineage traces to Zee Aero, founded around 2010 with backing from Google co-founder Larry Page, which later merged with Page-backed Kitty Hawk; the Wisk joint venture was formed in 2019 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing in 2023. Based in Mountain View, California, Wisk says it is the only company to have designed, built, and flown six generations of eVTOL aircraft, logging more than 1,750 test flights, and in December 2025 it completed the first flight of its Generation 6 aircraft, positioned as a candidate for the first FAA-certified autonomous passenger aircraft.
The most prominent bet on fully autonomous (no on-board pilot) passenger eVTOL flight, backed by the manufacturing and certification weight of Boeing.
